1 Corinthians 2:9 (BBE)
But as it says in the holy Writings, Things which the eye saw not, and which had not come to the ears or into the heart of man, such things as God has made ready for those who have love for him.
The opening of verse 9 is very encouraging and reassuring- But as Scripture says: But— (it has happened) meaning that everything happens as it is written in the scriptures- whatever God does is programmed to blow your mind because of its wonder, it’s extraordinary nature and miracles.
We literarily cannot imagine what plans God has in store for us, no matter how much we try, we can’t see it, not even if we hear it described in detail.
God promises to do things that will amaze people, to make the wise question their wisdom, and the intelligent folks will look stupid in the face of God’s outstanding wonders says Isaiah 29:14.
You thought you were supposed to take a particular step of faith…but nothing seemed to work out the way you planned it and you just seem to be getting “no” from God repeatedly. A lot of us, are waiting on God for some things and some have walked away because they think they’ve asked for something that God can’t deliver or think God is saying no.
Many times, the reason God says “no” to some things we’ve asked for now is only that He desires to say “yes” to something greater than what we asked for later!
God can blow your mind with anything and everything, much more than you can ask or imagine declare Ephesians 3:20, God is limitless in power and in giving.
God told Abraham to look at the territories He was giving him. Then God asked Abraham to take a prophetic action by walking through the land of promise. That was an act of faith recorded in Genesis 13:14-15. God was teaching Abraham, as He’s teaching us, about seeing from within.
He doesn’t want us to focus on people or external circumstances but rather on His promises. God was teaching Abraham the principle of vision. Anyone who wants to change his future must learn to focus on the bigger picture, as big as God wants you to think, and not on the resources available.
But Abraham didn’t seem to grasp the vision principle at that time. God, therefore, had to take him one step further in Genesis 15:5-6, to get Abraham to see beyond the physical. Abraham finally believed in God because he could see what God was seeing. The promise was real to him. How about you? Do you think that promise God made you is too big for God to fulfill?
Do you doubt His ability to keep His promise and do that thing He promised?
God’s about to blow your mind with His amazing wondrous power, ability, and readiness to bless, favour, and promote you. God can and will do more than you think.
How far can you see? You can only become what you see and what you see are your expectations. Like Abraham, God can deliver as far as your eyes can see, nothing’s too big for Him to give you, Psalm 84:11 says He will not withhold anything from you-after all, He didn’t withhold His only son from you, John 3:16.
All things are possible with God. Is anything too difficult for Him? Call on Him and He’ll blow your mind with what He’s got in store for you.
Shalom
