Psalm 119:89 AMPC
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [stands firm as the heavens].
The gavel is a small but mightily powerful tool, whoever holds and wields it has the final say in the court or auction house as once the gavel hits the sounding block, whatever matter under deliberation is declared “settled.”
God, before time, in His infinite mercy and grace smacked the gave on the heavenly sounding block to declare that everything concerning you has settled long ago, pre-you in Isaiah 25:1.
Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven, your purposes are all settled in heaven above, and they are fulfilled on earth below.
Your health is settled says Isaiah 53:5.
Your work is blessed says psalm 128:3.
Your all-around prosperity is settled says 3 John1:2.
God’s great plan for us is settled says Jeremiah 29:11.
God’s word or law is eternal and unchanging, He planned and said it, settled, fixed, and established them forever in the heavens of heavens. God’s word about you is settled but God will allow you to go through a trial and process to challenge you to lay claim on a higher blessing that is reserved for you than to allow you to settle for anything that is not “settled” in heaven.
According to Isaiah 45:11, you need to humbly begin to command the plans that God settled for you rather than grumble and complain over life’s circumstances and situations. No matter what your situation is right now, know that the Lord will not let you go through more than you can endure according to 1 Corinthians 10:13 and He knows your pain and endurance threshold and has made an exit route for you that when the time comes because He “settled it” to allow His specific plan by which great blessings can come out of your trials.
Take a moment and be glad that God’s word does not change according to times, seasons, trends, and fashion, unlike these, God’s word lasts forever, endures all things, and changes all things because His word is eternal.
The assurance of God’s “it is settled,” should give us the guarantee that nothing that happens on earth, nothing man does and nothing we do or say can change God’s word, “forever His word is settled in heaven.”
Even the court of the lands is inconsistent with their settlement. A closed and settled case can be recalled at a moment’s notice and at anyone’s instigation but God’s word is final.
When God said it is settled, it does not matter how long it takes, the settled word will certainly come to pass. The children of Israel were meant to be enslaved for four hundred years, that was settled, but man and circumstance played time and thirty years was added.
God’s word stands firm and sure forever and forever is a long time, rather than lose hope and dwell on things that are fleeting, and temporal as described in 2 Corinthians 4:18, dwell on the word which is a sure bet.
Challenges are an everyday occurrence and man’s help in the face of these challenges can be worthless, see Psalm 60:11, so, whatever you are trusting God for is settled and it shall be manifested in your life soon because God’s word over that matter is settled forever. Depend on the Lord’s word, it will surely come to pass in God’s time.
