GODLY INFLUENCER TWO

1 Peter 2:12 Voice
Live honorably among the outsiders so that, even when some may be inclined to call you criminals, when they see your good works, they might give glory to God when He returns in judgment.

Still on the issue of influencers! Who can be an influencer? Who is an influencer? How do we influence others and how?
We are never meant to listen to the voice of a man but God’s voice, especially to men who are not listening to God’s voice.
Presently, there are more social and economic influencers than spiritual or godly influencers. God created us and gave us power, authority, and dominion over all things and when we come to Christ, our authority is even more because of the name of Jesus.
Naturally, there aren’t any written manuals for how to live life but according to 2 Timothy 3:16, everything we need for life is in the Bible, Paul stresses the authority of all Scripture; authority in all things, the bible should influence us in every way, finance, business, marriage, child-rearing, health, and all others. The divine origin of Scripture is the reason for its power and usefulness in training.
We are not to proclaim ourselves, and our abilities but Christ according to 2 Corinthians 4:5, the opportunity, privilege, and ability to positively influence people are found in Christ.
The enemy is using peoples’ skills, talents, and ability to negatively influence the world, creating a false community that impacts the rest of the world with mostly demonic, evil, wicked and unrighteous influences and because of what 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says that ‘ and even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. People are blinded to the truth of the gospel but are very accepting of the lies of the enemy.
A lot of people are so influenced that many of the godly principles that governed the world years ago, that even unbelievers adhered to are no longer necessary according to the influencers.
We have influencers telling women they have a right to their bodies and therefore can abort babies as they please, but the scriptures say God sees each embryo as a person in Psalm 139:16. Even believers are influenced to go with the lie that it is better to terminate a pregnancy than to allow the child to suffer.
Influence comes in all forms, we must crave, even as we offer a godly and positive influence on people we meet.
Sometimes, people have bad ideas and intentions but will not act on them until an influential voice gives them false courage to carry out their actions, such as the case in 2 Samuel 13 of the friendship between Absalom’s half-brother, Amnon and Jonadab. This friendship and influence led to the rape of Amnon’s sister, Tamar. One sentence from an ungodly and negative influence created a mountain of issues that affected generations, causing murder, division, and war. We must always remember that 1 Corinthians 15:33 strongly admonishes us that, “Bad company corrupts good character.” Jonadab was bad company.
Galatians 5:9 say that a little leaven leavens the whole lump. It only takes one “bad company” influence to cause us to lose our spiritual focus. Let us be aware of the influence of those we call our friends and choose them carefully. Be a godly influencer!
Shalom
