UNCONVENTIONAL GOD!

Isaiah 55:8-9 AMP
8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

The Lord our God does not conform to what is generally and normally done or believed.
God’s standard is all his own and not according to the dictates of society, individuals, or religious expectations.
If all things are possible with God according to Luke 1:37, this means his methods surpass human understanding and human knowledge.
When we trust God even in the most difficult and challenging situation, He can do for us what we couldn’t possibly do for ourselves in ways that are sometimes humanly impossible.
God’s ways are always unconventional, He does things in His way that’s sometimes not obvious to us. God doesn’t require us to understand His will, purpose, or strategies, He just needs us to obey Him even when it seems unreasonable.
According to 1 Corinthians 2:27 God loves to use weak, foolish things, and broken people to demonstrate His Majestic power and greatness. The manifestations of God are always illogical to the natural man.
Judges is packed full of God’s unconventional ways and God’s dealing with Gideon in chapters 6-7 upends human logic and expectations. Gideon’s story reminds us that we are not in control and that God can win mighty victories, despite the odds, and in the most unconventional of ways. It also reminds us that no matter how many excuses we make, God can and will use us to do his work, if we make ourselves available to him.
When God does something that surprises us or if we can’t imagine how God would resolve an impossible situation, we exclaim that God works in mysterious ways.”
Judges 15:16 said Samson killed a thousand men with a donkey’s jawbone, obviously not by his strength but through God’s directive and strength.
The conventional way of becoming king is to be born into a royal family but God in His unconventional wisdom chose David in such a way that made him look more like a Vagabond than the next king of Israel.
You may be in a season now, where you’re asking God to do something for you, but there you are wondering if God can do whatever it is you’re asking him. firstly, all things are possible with God and secondly don’t expect Him to do whatever in your way, how you want but rather ask him to do whatever will most glorify his name, which may just turn out to be a very unconventional way.
God wants us to trust him because his wisdom and perspective are greater than ours. Even when we don’t understand what God is doing, and how and when He’ll do it, we must still trust him because his ways are always better than our ways.
When we ask God for a sign, help, miracles or whatever it is we ask of him, we must remember that His response may be wide off from our expectations as seen in 2 Kings 3 when Jehoshaphat and the other kings went to Elisha for a sign, instead God offered them an unconventional miracle.
Even our most difficult challenges, problems and needs are small before God, he will surpass our expectations and desires according to Ephesians 2:30.
Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees, from what we can do to what God can do.
Shalom
