Romans 8:10-11 NIV
But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. [11] And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
The resurrection power is the focal point of the Christian life and all of the gospels have their account of the spirit and power of resurrection. The resurrection of Christ from the dead is the foundation of the Gospel. Without the resurrection we have nothing.
The power of the resurrection of Christ changed history. That same power is what all believers will need to change everything in the world one day and the power of the resurrection can and does change lives daily.
Although there’s still a lot of people who don’t subscribe to the resurrection power of Christ but seeing that it is an admitted fact that Christ is announced by believers as having risen from the dead, how is it then that some people still deny that the resurrection actually happened? 1 Corinthians 15:12.
The Spirit of God dwells personally in every believer, the presence of the Holy Spirit determines our spiritual experience. One of the most important and powerful promises in the scriptures is found in Romans 8:10-11- we each have the power of the resurrection in us and at our disposal to live and experience our Christian journey in profound ways.
According to Matthew 28:1-7 – Vs 6 proclaims that the tomb is empty! Christ is risen! Jesus forever proved Himself to be the One with His resurrection. Jesus is unlike any other “god” or religious leader in that He didn’t remain in the grave. Jesus literally got up from the grave. It is not just a good story. It is the undeniable truth. To deny the resurrection is to deny the Gospel altogether. You cannot have one without the other.
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of resurrection that brought Christ back to the life-the resurrection of Christ was and still is a physical, yet supernatural reality-Christ lives.
Resurrection means to live, be restored to life, or revived; these are things only the Spirit of God can do.
Some people are struggling with so much stuff in life while getting the doors of life slammed against us again and again, but the power of resurrection is authentically able to open every shut door.
The testimony of our own spirit is borne in that cry of conscious sonship like Jesus did, “Abba, Father”; but we are not alone in that as the Holy Ghost within us helps us along always.
The physical resurrection of Christ is God’s stamp of approval for His work on the cross and a lasting symbol of God’s love to His children. Jesus raised from the dead, we know His work was sufficient and complete, that’s why Revelation 1:17-18 is vital to our faith and the confirmation of the resurrection power of God and the proof that Christ lives; “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
According to Romans 8:11, the Spirit and power of resurrection is available to revive us to life. He is able to quicken the temple of clay to become a powerful tool in God’s hand and kingdom.
The Spirit and power of resurrection is He who brings freedom from bondage.
Shalom
