THE BIG QUESTION.

Daniel 11:32 (AMP)
And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].

We get asked all kinds of questions daily, some important, others not so much, whilst others are vital to life. What’s the most memorable question you’ve had to answer?
How about this! DO YOU KNOW YOUR GOD? This is the big question.
How do you see God? What do you know about Him? Do you know His characters and attributes? Do know how He sees you and the length He will go to show you how important you are to Him? Many people do not see God in all of His glorious sovereignty, because they do not know Him. To know God is to completely believe and accept His word for the truth that is the bedrock of God’s person.
To know your God, you need to invest your time, your heart, your senses, and your will in pursuit of the word, 2 Timothy 2:15.
The person who knows their God is not timid, they are not fearful, they do not complain and moan when things aren’t going their way and they are secure not in themselves but the knowledge of their worth and value in the eyes of God. Isaiah 54:2-6, 10-12, 14-17, Psalm 46:5, Psalm 139:13-14. Do you know your God?
For you to be strong and do the great exploits God promised, you need to intimately engage with the Lord on every level to get to know the Lord’s heartbeat according to Matthew 22:37.
Psalm 18:2-3 tells us briefly who God is. Have you seen God as your: Rock? Do you recognise Him as your fortress, saviour, protector, shield, strength, and stronghold? Not just recognise Him but to accept Him as all these and more.
Is the Lord worthy of your praise? Yes, because He made you, one valued and worth the blood of the lamb and His eternal love.
Some see God as a benevolent caregiver, but the Lord is much more than that; He is the righteous judge, who doesn’t behold iniquity, He is the saviour of mankind who stepped down from glory to save and deliver His people from the clutches of Satan. How about learning more about the one who other kings call king? And find out that He alone is God in all the universe, there is no one like Him, according to Exodus 15:11-18, who else can do the things He does and love us as He does? Psalm 86:8.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 tells us to not boast or depend on anything, not on our strength, achievement, or knowledge, but instead to boast and depend on our knowing the Lord because it’s only when we know our God that the fear of adversary stops bothering us.
There is so much to discover in God, the more you know, the more you want to know, and the Lord reveals Himself only to those who earnestly seek Him with all their heart according to Psalm 119:10. The Lord is waiting to hear from you, to search for Him and to get to know Him. Do you want to know the Lord for yourself or rely on what others tell you about Him?
When you know your God, He gives you: peace, confidence and assurance, value and worth, divine direction and strength. Do you know your God?
Shalom
