THE BENEFITS OF WAITING ON GOD.

Isaiah 40:31 (BBE)
But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.

Some of us have been waiting on the Lord for a long time for some things and at some point, you may feel like God has forgotten you or you may begin to wonder why you are even waiting and if waiting is profitable or rewarding to you.
Are you asking yourself why you are waiting on God?
What are the benefits of waiting on God?
What do I get out of waiting on God?
Is it worth it for me to wait and keep waiting on God?
Sometimes, challenges, trials, hardships, poverty, ill-health, and many other things will hinder or limit our dreams, visions, purposes, goals, family, education, business, and our happiness but it is important to remain calm in the face of all these hurdles.
Many of us give up too easily, when these moments come, our faith may crumble before us or on us.
Everyone hates waiting! I know that personally!
We are busy people who usually have too much to do in a short day than we can accomplish, yet over and over, the scripture speaks to us on our need to wait, we are commanded to wait patiently on God in Psalm 37:7.
The benefits of waiting on God far outweighs the length of waiting for Him. When God allows life issues to delay us from His goal, we can be sure that He has good reasons.
The benefits of waiting on God according to our text includes:
1: Waiting on God renews our mental, emotional, physical, financial, and social strength.
2: Waiting on God helps us mount up high (the capacity and energy to rise) with wings like the eagles.
3: Waiting on God gives us the ability to run with the vision and purpose for our lives.
4: There is no weariness in waiting on God, we gain more vitality in the pursuit of our destinies.
5: Waiting on God gives us the ability to walk in excellence, power, and authority.
6: We don’t faint on whatever assignment and purpose we’ve been called to, Ministry, Church, Business, Marriage, Relationship, Family etc, because we rest on God.

  1. Waiting on God helps us to learn patience.
  2. We experience the grace of God and grow in faith.
  3. It makes God’s voice shaper and our ears more attentive.
  4. It makes us great witnesses of God’s faithfulness.
In addition, when we wait patiently on God, we receive the benefits of blessings and favour, our needs are supplied according to Psalm 34:10.
We benefit from divine instructions according to Psalm 25:4-5 when we wait on God.
God loves us, so our times of waiting on Him must be beneficial to our emotional and spiritual growth.
It’s hard not to grow impatience while waiting on God. We tend to fall for the lie that He is unaware of our struggles, and so rush ahead of God to help Him, that is never a good idea.
Isaiah 49:23 tells us there is no shame in waiting on God, so wait on God.
When you are tempted to get restless in your waiting season, use the time instead to praise God for the benefits and blessings that He has in store for you.
    Shalom
