SEE BEYOND THE NATURAL.

2 Kings 6:16-18 CEV
“Don’t be afraid,” Elisha answered. “There are more troops on our side than on theirs.”
[17] Then he prayed, “LORD, please help him to see.” And the LORD let the servant see that the hill was covered with fiery horses and flaming chariots all around Elisha.
[18] As the Syrian army came closer, Elisha prayed, “LORD, make those soldiers blind!” And the LORD blinded them with a bright light.

We know of the bird’s-eye view which generally means a view from above, the view of an object with a perspective as though the observer were a bird.
In the faith walk, we must have what I call the God’s-eye view to see the manifestations of the kingdom of God on earth.
Our natural eyes are only able to see just far enough but not capable of seeing an absent, invisible and non-existent object, which is how our spiritual eyes see.
The word of God is the ink that paints the pictures that our spiritual eyes see, conveys to the physical eyes to materialise in life as stated in Psalms 119:18 open my eyes. The word of God gives us insight beyond our abilities to see the wondrous things out of God’s law.
It’s natural to see only with our eyes, after all, that’s what they’re meant for but if we are to see the power and glory of God manifested mightily in our lives, we must also see beyond the natural.
2 Corinthians 5:7 say we must actively walk by faith and not by sight, intentionally seeing in the spirit what we wish to see in the physical by trusting in God’s promises.
In prayer we envision through the spiritual eyes what we’re asking of God- whatever we ask, think, or imagine according to Ephesians 2:20, then God accomplishes what we see in the spiritual in our lives.
What do you see? Ask Jesus in Mark 8:23. It is what you see that you receive.
Elisha’s servant was gripped by fear when he saw the army surrounding them but at Elisha’s prayer, his physical and spiritual eyes were opened to see what was not visible to the natural eyes- the horses and chariots of fire sent by God to defend them against the Aramean army.
What do you see?
We must be like the eagle the scripture likens us to, having a panoramic view of things miles from where it perches. We must see as far as possible in the spiritual for God to do for us as far as we see.
How and what we see is important to the Lord as seen in Genesis 13:14-17, God promises to give Abraham as far as he could see, no limit, meaning that God will give you too what and how you see.
The natural sight is limited in what it can see, programmed to only see what is physically and humanly possible, such as problems and challenges, like Peter did, even at the Lord’s bidding in Matthew 14:28-30, instead of seeing Jesus and the spiritual highway, Peter saw the water and waves which created fear and doubt.
Learn to see beyond the natural.
The world says, “seeing is believing but faith says believing is seeing” like Thomas in John 20:24-28 but rather be the ones Jesus refers to as blessed in verse 29 because they believe to see.
We need spiritual vision and enlightenment if we are to live a victorious life, only granted by the Holy Spirit as prescribed in Revelations 3:18b, the Holy Spirit as the eye salve is the one who grants us the spiritual sight to see beyond the natural.
God will only do for us what spiritual illumination helps us understand according to 1 Corinthians 2:9.
Shalom
