Romans 4:21 (ESV)
fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.
God is a promise keeper, He never breaks His word, He does not go back on His promises neither does He change His mind according to Numbers 23:19 but He still requires your participation in your successes, prosperity and development. With over 3000 promises God made to us in the bible, He still instructed us to ask for whatever we need and promises to answer us when we do, Luke 11:9.
God our “Father” wants to prosper us, bless us, keep us healthy, safe, provide for us and do much more than our natural earthly fathers could ever do for us.
Deuteronomy 28 tells us all about what God wants and doesn’t want for us, but the list is inexhaustive.
David was one man who knew how to not only praise God but also knew how to expect and receive from Him.
When he wrote psalms 37, he was probably coming out of a stressful, difficult, and challenging period, but instead of focusing on the problems, he focused on his maker, Colossians 3:2 says to set your eyes on the things above which is where our salvation and help is.
There are 25 promises found in psalms 37 alone from God to us:
1. You will dwell in the land; verse 3 and 29
2. You will be feed: v 3
3. He will give you your hearts desires: v 4
4. He will bring things to pass v 5
5. He will bring righteousness to light: v6
6. He will bring judgement: v
7. Evildoers will be cut off: v 9,20,22,34,38
8. He will give you the earth as an inheritance: v 9,11,22,29,34
9. He will give you an abundance of peace: v 11
10. He will uphold you; v 17, 24

22. He will give you salvation: v 39-40
23. You will have the strength for every battle
24. He is your helper: v 40
25. You’ll be delivered from the wicked.
God promised all of these from only one chapter of a book of the Bible, and much more from Genesis to Revelations, what other promises have you picked and held onto? Has God ever failed you? Has He ever broken a promise to you? In fact, Numbers 23:19 tells us that God does not LIE about His word.
It is very telling that Joshua and the children of Israel were able to confidently boast of God’s ability to keep His promises, Joshua 24:45. These were people without the Holy Spirit, how much more you, a child of the new covenant in Christ, He will keep that promise, hold on to it, for they are sure according to 2 Corinthians 1:20.
The promise keeper keeps His promises.
Shalom
