Ecclesiastes 3:11 TLB
Everything is appropriate in its own time. But though God has planted eternity in the hearts of men, even so, many cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
A process or treatment is a time of events happening to ready someone for some purpose, of improvement, change or to remedy a condition while seasons are recurrent times marked by major events in one’s life.
Every destination requires a season, and that season is fulfilled by a process. Humanity lives in the routine of time, cyclical in nature, that certain things must happen for others to occur.
The seasons come and go in life, as they are an indication of change according to Daniel 2:21.
Processes are an unending series of changes and events that leads one to the destination, sometimes these processes are hard and painful but don’t forget that God is keeping it that way to thwart the competition and has already gone ahead of you before you embark on it for you must complete it to attain the goal otherwise, the circle if broken will need to be repeated.
God set the seasons in their place back in Genesis 8:22, they can’t be changed, so too are the seasons of our lives, they are individually custom-made to equip us to achieve God’s purpose according to Psalm 139:16 and as such, every process assigned for a purpose must be completed while Job 14:5 informs us that God determines our days, process and limits, not you.
What are you going through right now that you think is taking long, is unusual, maybe unnecessary and unfair? Are you looking at your process and looking for someone to help you out, to break the circle or hasten to complete it?
Joseph’s process and seasons were intense all through Genesis 39-41, we would never know how many times he thought of giving up, but he persevered and completed each season and process that finally took him to the destination.
Moses had to repeat a process and seasons because he thought he could take matters into his hands to hasten it in Exodus 2:12.
The circumstances of our seasons may sneak up and challenge us, but they are never a surprise to God, nothing surprises Him since He knows and sees all things.
Nobody likes suffering, delays and afflictions and it’s natural to want to look for the quickest, shortest, and easiest exits when difficult processes come upon us. But instead of seeing the difficult and painful process as problems, we should look on them as opportune currencies that will grant us favour with the Lord.
David was a shepherd until he became king, he could have bemoaned his suffering and challenging life, but he saw it as an opportunity to face and withstand a giant that career soldiers feared to face, see 1 Samuel 17.
Father will always go ahead of us before we ever come to the crossroad of process and season that will task our faith, hope and strength. He says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He will not let us be tempted beyond our ability and will provide the way of escape and if we stay the cause and faint not according to Galatians 6:9. It is easy to get tired of an uncomfortable process, but we must remember that there is an appropriate time and season for our development.
Every process is instrumental in building character, removing contrary attitudes and instilling the fruits of the Spirit that is expressed in spiritual maturity according to James 1:2-4.
Process and seasons are what open doors, it opened the palace for Joseph. Let God help you complete your process and make all things beautiful in His time. pass the season to your destination.
Shalom
