PRECIOUS PROMISES!

Hebrews 10:23 NIV
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all he does.
There’s so much we pray for and about as Christians, both for ourselves and others—so many dreams, hopes, and plans. So often, we get held up by our doubts, does God care about our request?
How valuable then, to focus on praying back to God the very promises in his Word. When we speak God’s words back to Him, we no longer wonder if God cares about our request- it’s His word we are repeating and reminding Him of. Use promises from God’s word as the basis for your prayers. The Bible is filled with God’s promises, pray the reality of these promises into your life.
It’s important to note scripture promises and look at the context of the specific portion of Scripture that pertains to you and take hold of it for yourself. We can rely on the unchanging nature and trustworthiness of God’s character to naturally flow into the reliability of his words to us.
We can find many promises God has made to us in His Word. For instance, He promises to care for us faithfully and to never forsake us. And in 2 Peter 1:4, some of His promises are strikingly described as precious and exceedingly great.
God promises that we no longer need to feel helpless, anxious, and alone. We can take everything and anything to God in prayer and expect answers according to Philippians 4:6.
The most precious promise we have is the extraordinary privilege of God living within us found in 1 Corinthians 3:16.
God promises that if we come to Jesus on his terms, He will forgive our sins and not remember them anymore for there to no longer be a need to feel guilty or ashamed before God according to Jeremiah 31:34.
If we continue to follow Jesus, nobody, not even Satan, can separate us from God as Romans 8:38-39 promises security for our souls.
We are given a precious promise that death is not the end for believers but a spiritual sleep that cannot destroy us because we will be resurrected from Death says 1Thessalonians 4:14.
Praying God’s promises are not some kind of magic formula. Our prayers always have great power, but we must trust God to work in His way and time and remain patient until the manifestation. If we must pray for years, then we keep praying for years. We may not see some answers in our lifetime but keep praying. In the end, we can trust that every single one of God’s promises to us will come true.
Which promises of God are the most precious to you? There are so many to choose from and they are all so tremendous. God’s promises relate to the overwhelming doctrines of grace, Salvation, redemption, justification, security, separation, sanctification, and eventual glorification for our soul.
Above all, all of God’s promises are based on Christ Jesus and they will come to pass through Him according to 2 Corinthians 1:20.
So, hold on to whatever promises you are waiting for. God can and will do just what He said He will do, don’t give on God. God is faithful to keep His precious promises.
Shalom
