For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Who is an overcomer? An overcomer is someone who overcomes someone and gained control of a situation through great effort.
Jesus said in John 16:33 that he already conquered the world and everything for us, so, we should be at peace, as Christians we must not let the world turn us away from following Christ.
Everyone has overcome something in life, maybe a physical challenge, a health issue, financial constraints, a family break down and many other things.
But let’s note the first line-everyone who is born of God; only those who are truly God’s children are called overcomers, though not the human everyone but those birth in Christ, that conquers.
In the world, the overcomers or conquerors are those who have achieved some gigantic feat, who have overcome with the help of a man.
According to Revelation 12:11, those who are birthed in Christ overcomers by the power of their testimonies and the blood of Jesus.
Opportunities arise daily that demand we trust the word of God to help us overcome in those areas of life that suddenly appear to shake us.
Those who dwell in the secret place of the Lord can overcome challenges when they arise because they operate from the place of safety and security in God to deal with the situation according to Psalm 91:1.
We must go through the challenges, and situations to get to where we need to be to become the overcomers we’re created to be.
Overcomers are followers of Christ who successfully resist the power and temptation of society. An overcomer is not sinless but holds fast to faith in Christ until the end. An overcomer does not give up or turn away from the Lord when challenging times come. Overcoming requires complete dependence upon God for direction, purpose, and fulfilment.
If we understand Proverbs 3:5-6, we realise that no matter what we face in life, we can only successfully overcome them through the strength of God if we follow His plan for our lives, especially, as the Spirit of God within us according to 1 John 4:4 is forever greater and bigger than the challenges we face, the situations we are in and the enemy attacking us.
You are a conqueror!
You are an overcomer!
But only in Christ.
Regardless of what you see!
Regardless of what you hear or feel!
No weapon fashioned against you according to Isaiah 54:17 will prosper because God has given us victory, we can’t be defeated. Being an overcomer is the heritage of the children of God: “whoever is born of God”, not everybody.
We are overcomers and conquerors in Christ Jesus.
We have the power over the enemy.
Only God can give us victory over sickness, lack, the flesh, and oppression.
God will defeat every enemy for our sake, no matter how powerful they are, that’s why the blood of Jesus is our weapon for overcoming.
To overcome temptation, poverty, guilt, shame, and anything that rises against us.
Jesus promises in Revelation 2:17 to reward those who overcome with a new name written on a white stone.
We overcome by our testimonies and the blood of the Lamb, you can because God believes in you and called you an overcomer.
