1 Kings 11:36 AMPC
Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David My servant may always have a light before Me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put My Name.
This is the most confident-building phrase ever! NO ONE CAN STOP GOD! Regardless of your influence, authority, status, and wealth, you can’t stop God from doing what He wants to do for you or others.
No matter how fast or slow you run, you still can’t stop the Lord. God will do what He wants to do! He will take you where He wants and allow what He allows despite your efforts.
Child of God, everything the Lord told you, promised you, planned for you, He’ll do at His time, and no one can stop Him, not even you.
According to Jeremiah 29:11, God’s plans for us are for welfare, not evil, or calamity. We will receive God’s welfare in the form of a future and hope on earth and hereafter.
God’s purpose for you cannot be thwarted says Job 42:2, and we know He can do all things and all things are possible with Him, so who or how can we stop Him from doing what only He can do?
So many of us are under the assumption that God deals with us the way He does because of something we or others did, that God punishes us, withholds blessings from us or ignores us because of something or someone but not so according to Psalm 84:11 that declares that God bestows favour and honour and would not withhold anything good from us, meaning that, there’s nothing anyone or you can do to stop Him from what He purposes.
He says in 2 Timothy 1:9 that He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of His purpose and grace. Even death cannot stop the Lord from what He wants to do because ultimately, He has the last and final word concerning us, knowing what is best for us and how to make all things work well for our good.
Don’t worry about where you’ve been, coming from or heading to, don’t worry about the mistakes, the downfalls, the disappointments, and pain, not even your anger: none of these things, including the enemy of our soul-Satan, can stop the Lord.
If Paul concluded in Romans 8:35-38 that nothing whatsoever can separate him and us from the love of the Father, then the flip coin will be that nothing can change His mind concerning His plans for us.
Solomon and all of David’s descendants couldn’t have done anything to change God’s mind about the covenant He made to David. God had a right to take all the kingdom away from Solomon because of his sin but our merciful Father exhibited His undeserved mercy by tampering judgment with mercy in leaving one seat of kingship to Solomon’s heir because of His covenant with David. Solomon’s mistakes couldn’t stop God!
What have you done? Do not think that your actions or inactions will stop God from doing whatever He wants to do-though He’ll do them in His time since He made the plans and set them from old according to Isaiah 25:1, no one, not even you can stop God from what He will do.
God’s responsibility to His sovereignty will never allow Him to be stopped in carrying out His plans and purposes in our lives. No one can stop God!
Shalom
