Isaiah 54:16-17 (BBE)
16 See, I have made the iron-worker, blowing on the burning coals, and making the instrument of war by his work; and I have made the waster for destruction.
17 No instrument of war which is formed against you will be of any use; and every tongue which says evil against you will be judged false. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness comes from me, says the Lord.

There’s a Fred Hammond song that says no weapon formed against shall prosper, it won’t work. It will have no effect! We know that God’s promises are set in stone and cannot be erased, they are yes and amen according to 2 Corinthians 1:20, but sometimes, a lot of things will come against us to contend with God’s word and promises to us that may make it seem like God’s word doesn’t work.
Be assured that God’s word is guaranteed to last forever as 1 Peter 1:2 says and is effective in every circumstance.
A weapon is any device that can be used to inflict injury or death, they can be anything from words to heavy artillery, but God is saying that all the weapons of the enemy in the world cannot have any effect on us.
We go through life oblivious of the battles we are in. The enemy has formed all kinds of weapons against us but being filled with the Holy Ghost makes these weapons of no effect, whatever weapon is thrown at you will not stick on or do much damage because the anointing of the Lord breaks every yoke as stated in Acts 2:4 and Isaiah 10:27.
The Lord promises according to Psalm 32:7 to be our hiding place from every attack and to cover us from every arrow of the enemy. If we hide under the canopy of God, every weapon fashioned against us will not find its mark, even if it does, it will not affect us. When we hide in Him, He delivers us from all attacks of the enemy like He did in Daniel 3:5-22.
The Lord requires our faithfulness, even unto death. When weapons and accusations rise against us, how do we react? When the enemy ties us in knots and binds us in chains, he immobilizes us for a while but can’t overpower us because the captain of the Lord’s army is at work on our behalf to scatter and frustrate the efforts and weapons of everything that comes after us according to Psalm 33:10-11. Whether you like it or believe it, the enemy is always planning and plotting your downfall but be of good cheer, the Lord’s counsel regarding you stands forever.
No matter the weapon the enemy throws at us, spiritual, physical, emotional, whatever, the Lord can protect us, no dept or height can stop the Lord from reaching out to rescue and deliver us, as bad as it gets, the Lord’s promises of deliverance and rescue is the same for everyone, He’s already promised us what He’ll do for us in all situations in Isaiah 43:1-39.
As hot as the fired furnace in Daniel 3, the only thing that was destroyed was the ropes that bound the Hebrew boys, God can and will always deal with the very thing, singular or plural that can affect us, He’ll take that weapon and make it of no effect on us and will not allow our heads
bow in shame.
God alone accomplishes the promised victory. This is our heritage, God will defeat every enemy, no matter how powerful because His mercies endure forever every weapon is of no effect.
