Proverbs 29:25 MSG
The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in GOD protects you from that.
Naysayers! Does anything good ever come out of the naysayers of the world? If I took notice of how many times naysayers have interrupted me, tried to stop me, criticised, and condemned me, I never would have come this far.
The fear of what man will say, do or think is a snare and a deterrent to us walking fully in the will and purpose of God.
Rick Warren said: “The bigger God’s opinion in your mind, the smaller the opinions of others.” This is absolute truth, since God, the omnipresent God is the only One able to see, read and understand your thoughts, intent, and actions.
Naysayers don’t know what God said to you, so they don’t understand your dream or vision from God. It’s not their call. They are not God but what they try their best to do, is to discredit, discourage and mislead you.
A lot of people can’t do, go say or achieve anything without seeking others’ opinions but we can’t seek the approval of men over the approval of God. It doesn’t matter if people don’t agree with you but if you’re sure of your standing in God, don’t worry about what other people think, instead, worry about what God thinks.
Every opportunity in life comes with opposition, and all they are meant to do is to distract us from our goals, don’t allow the negativity of the naysayers to distract you.
Nehemiah 6:3-4 tells us how we should react to naysayers bent on disrupting our goals.
Naysayers have been at work in our lives from the garden of Eden, the serpent being the first naysayer, others have quickly found creative ways to stop us in our tracks.
When the Wright brothers tried to fly their first plane, people told them it would never work because humans can’t fly. Hey, guess what? Humans fly every day in aeroplanes.
When Moses led the Israelites across the desert, the people complained that he was not a good leader and therefore wanted to go back to Egypt.
We must love the Lord so much that searching for Him and following Him trumps the voices of the naysayers, no matter how reasonable and right they sound according to Proverbs 8:17.
They are called naysayers because their favourite answer is “Nay, No.” We will all encounter naysayers at some point in life and their responses will tell us how well and how much we believe and trust the word of God.
According to Acts 13:41, there is no way you can convince a scoffer, hater, or naysayer to believe, accept and encourage you in your goal, no matter what that goal is, their response is always negative.
Jude 1:18 tells us to expect more of such people in the end time, as this is their job, they’ll do more and more “neighing” to discredit the children of God, reduce or contaminate your faith from being effective and generally try to make our lives as difficult, unpleasant, and confusing as they can.
Naysayers neigh to kindle strife as they contemptuously disregard God’s law and maliciously set people against each other. Their neighing is an empty threat if we pay them no attention. Neigh is nothing with God.
Shalom
