Psalm 119:89 (ESV)
Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
The gavel is a small but mightily powerful tool, whoever holds and wields it has the final say in the court or auction house once the gavel hits the sounding block, the matter is declared “settled.”
God, before time, in His infinite mercy and grace smacked the gave on His sounding block to declare that everything concerning you “is settled” long ago, pre-you, Isaiah 25:1.
Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven—Thy purposes are all settled above in heaven, and they shall all be fulfilled below on earth.
My health is settled says Isaiah 53:5.
My work is blessed says psalm 128:3.
My all-around prosperity is settled says 3 John1:2.
God’s great plan for me is settled says Jeremiah 29:11.
God’s word or law is eternal and unchanging. He planned and said it, He settled it and has fixed and established them forever in the heavens of heavens. God’s word about you is settled but God will allow you to go through a trial and process to challenge you to lay claim on a higher blessing that is reserved for you than to allow you to settle for anything that is not “settled” in heaven.
According to Isaiah 45:11, you need to humbly begin to command the plans that God settled for you rather than grumble and complain over life’s circumstances and situations. No matter what your situation is right now, know that the Lord will not let you go through more than you can endure, He knows your pain and endurance threshold and He already made an exit route for you when the time comes because He “settled it” to allow His specific plan by which great blessings can come out of your trials. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Just trust His word and learn to be at peace because “it is settled.” Psalm 119:165.
Take a moment and be glad that God’s word does not change according to times, seasons, trends and fashion, unlike these, God’s word lasts forever, endures all things and changes all thing because it is eternal.
The assurance of God’s “it is settled,” should give you the guarantee that nothing that happens on earth, nothing man does and nothing you do or say can change God’s word, “forever His word is settled in heaven.” Hebrews 13:6.
When God said it is settled, it does not matter how long it takes, the settled word will certainly come to pass. The children of Israel were meant to be enslaved for 400 years-that was settled, but man and circumstance played time and 30years was added.
God’s word stands firm and sure forever-forever is a long time, rather than lose hope and dwell on things that are fleeting and temporal, dwell on the word which is a sure bet. 2 Corinthians 4:18.
Challenges are an everyday occurrence and man’s help in the face of these challenges can be worthless, Psalm 60:11, so, whatever you are trusting God for is settled but for a little while it shall be manifested in your life because God’s word over that matter is settled forever. Depend on and trust in God’s word, it will surely come to pass in God’s time.
