INDESCRIBABLE GOD

Psalm 19:1-14 (BBE)
1 The heavens are sounding the glory of God; the arch of the sky makes clear the work of his hands.
2 Day after day it sends out its word, and night after night it gives knowledge.
3 There are no words or language; their voice makes no sound.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he put a tent for the sun,
5 Who is like a newly married man coming from his bride-tent, and is glad like a strong runner starting on his way.
6 His going out is from the end of the heaven, and his circle to the ends of it; there is nothing which is not open to his heat.
7 The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish.
8 The orders of the Lord are right, making glad the heart: the rule of the Lord is holy, giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, and has no end; the decisions of the Lord are true and full of righteousness.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, even than much shining gold; sweeter than the dropping honey.
11 By them is your servant made conscious of danger, and in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who has full knowledge of his errors? make me clean from secret evil.
13 Keep your servant back from sins of pride; let them not have rule over me: then will I be upright and free from great sin.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in your eyes, O Lord, my strength and my salvation.

The bible is packed full of God’s wonderous perfections, the testimony of His creation pours forth in glorious praise and testimony, the beauty and splendour of His majesty are visible to the naked eyes all over the globe. How can you describe a God who is indescribable? Everything in creation speaks of God’s sovereignty and wonder, as He spoke everything into perfect creation from His desire and ideas.
“From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea. Creations revealing Your majesty. From the colours of fall to the fragrance of spring. Every creature is unique in the song that it sings. All exclaiming, Indescribable, uncontainable, You place the stars….” Genesis 1:6, Psalm 145:3. God’s greatness is truly declared by even the element and the creations shout out His wonders.
The above is from a very popular song, we all sing it, but have you ever really taken the time to reflect on the lyrics of the song? When you read Psalm 19, does it resonate within you of how mighty, how glorious, magnificent and worthy our God really is.
How do you describe a God who is omnipotent and all-sufficient?
As God’s people, we are created to celebrate the supreme revelation of Himself, His glory that includes His power, wisdom, and worthiness of honour and worship. Psalms 19:1. If the heavens and the heavens proclaim His name and fame, we made in His image can do less.
It’s impossible to out-imagine God. It is God who orchestrates time, creates light, and speaks things into existence—from the largest stars to the smallest starfish. God is a powerful, purposeful, personal and an unparalleled and unequalled Creator.
Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens tell the glory of God. And the skies announce what his hands have made.”
The indescribable ability of God displays the majesty of His creation with scientific findings, photography, and original illustrations of Space, Galaxies, Planets, and Stars, Earth, Geology, Oceans, and Weather, Animals—from birds to Dinosaurs and even our Minds, Bodies, and Imaginations.
Psalm 18:30 calls Father, the God whose way is perfect could not but do things in perfect ways.
We can only perceive with spiritual intelligence the fact that the world created by our God, though we do not see Him or the acts of creation itself as described in Genesis 1:1-31 was made from nothing but the spoken words of God, Hebrews 11:3. God is a mystery, Job 12:22 that even kings call Him king, Daniel 2:27. Human language is too limited and falls short in describing the unlimited and omnipresent, omnipotent and Omni-everything God we serve.
God is both the source, resources and sustainer of creation and all creature according to Hebrews 11:3, there were no human resources and material need to create and maintain His.
Only an indescribable God can give away an indescribable gift as Christ, 2 Corinthians 9:15, yet man with all his knowledge, talent and eloquence is still unable to describe God. You can only see the Lord and describe His wonders only through His Spirit, 1 John 2:20. All of creation is preaching a sermon of God’s greatness and are hailing our indescribable God. Are you?
Shalom
