FRUSTRATION

Isaiah 41:10 AMP
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’

Frustration is the feeling of being upset or annoyed as a result of being unable to change or achieve something. The prevention of progress, success, or fulfilment of something desired.
There are all kinds of frustrations in life, people from every strata and sector of life are frustrated daily by one thing or another-frustration is not a respecter of any. Frustration can leave many, feeling crippled, defeated, disappointed, dissatisfied and empty.
Imagine how frustrated Moses got in Exodus 17 for him to plead with the Lord with such heartfelt cry in Vs 4. Anointing is not a deterrent to frustration, after all, Moses was anointed to lead God’s people.
Life is general frustration but Isaiah 41:10 say no matter how frustrating it gets, to not to be dismayed because God’s hand is always prepared to uphold you.
Frustration is confusing, making one feel so close yet so far away and empties us of any pleasure and joys of life.
We get frustrated sometimes even in our prayers-we feel like we’ve been praying a long time for something, yet it feels like an eternity to the breakthrough, expecting answers to our prayer at certain times that never come-James 4:3.
Joshua told the children of Israel in Joshua 1:9 that the Lord will always be with them, so, there was no reason for them to be discouraged. The Lord has given each of us a source of strength and courage to see us through frustration situations.
Who else but Job can teach a much-needed lesson on frustration 101, Job’s frustration was over the Richter scale known to man, enough for him to disdain and curse his birthday- Job 10:13-22. Pain and suffering will always birth frustration, how we react, handle and come out of it is dependent on who and what we trust in- on ourselves, other things and people or on God? Psalm 20:7.
When we recognise that some of our problem, if not all have not a human solution, we will learn to quickly take them to the Lord than try futilely to solve them ourselves. We must give our frustrations to the Lord for only He is able to help us. 1 Peter 5:7.
When we are too close to a situation, we become tunnel vision and fail to see the big God we have on our side, instead, we focus on the big problem.
Despite our discouragement, pain and sins, God loves us and continues with His plan for us! He gave a Promise, and He has a Plan! You know, God could have said right after Adam and Eve sinned, “I am done with you human beings!” or to you and me “I am done with you,” but instead He offers us solution, love, mercy and compassion to see us through frustrating seasons. Isaiah 43:1-5.
So many woke up this morning with some sort of frustration and are wondering how you’ll hold out till the end of the day without breaking down or giving up? You only need to look up to the one whose peace passes all of man’s understanding to fill you up and overflow the feelings of frustration. Philippians 4:7.
Don’t allow frustration to eat you up and steal your joy but let the word of God swallow up frustration and the joy of the Lord strengthen you.
Shalom
