DIVINE HEARING

Romans 10:17 (BBE)
So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.

The ear is one of the major organs of the body as hearing is counted as one of our five senses, for most people hearing difficulty means they don’t hear what is said clearly or not at all. For those whose ears function properly, they may choose to only hear what pleases their ears. Part of being a good communicator means knowing how to listen, listening involves intentional hearing. If you are like most people, you probably do not give much thought to how many words you take in each day. Research suggests that the average person hears between 20,000 and 30,000 words every 24-hour.
The phrase “ears to hear” is used throughout the Bible, telling us how important it is to have good hearing, such as Matthew 11:15. Unfortunately, there is an opposite of good hearing: it’s called blocked ears, or deaf ears if we do not “incline” our spiritual ears to God.
Divine hearing drives our faith to greater heights. By the standard of Hebrew 11:1-3, our faith of yesterday becomes our testimony for tomorrow. The faith of today is the launching for tomorrow’s adventure. But only if you hear and receive faith-filled words.
What are you listening to? What are you hearing? Faith-filled words or fear-filled words?
Whatever kind of words you listen to, is what builds and strengthens your faith or weakens your faith.
When the disciples petitioned Jesus and said, “Increase our faith,” Jesus did not pray for them to receive more faith or impart more faith to them by some other operation, but instead, he taught them about faith. He said that if they had faith as small as a mustard seed, they could command a tree to be uprooted and be replanted in the sea according to Luke 17:6.
Faith in Christ is the result of hearing the word, the doctrine of God preached and received. God sends His word and if heard attentively, received by faith, it will produce a result.
Fear disappears with the presence of faith and vice versa. Faith thrives on hope, Hope in God does not disappoint. Our faith in God is our navigator of Faith not just in having our needs met, it is also exercised in finding out spiritual information. Faith does not deny physical reality, it changes and makes it better.
We cannot obey God until we listen to His word. The more we hear Him, the more we grow.
Hebrew 11:6 says it is impossible to please God without faith, so our relationship with the Lord is dependent on our faith. Faith is what brings the things God has provided for us from the spiritual realm into the physical realm Hebrew 11:1.
Our faith is the victory that enables us to overcome the world says 1 John 5:4. Everything the Lord does for us is accessed through faith, but faith will be lacking if we are not divinely tuned to God’s voice to hear faith-filled words.
Surround your ears with the right words, the right messages, and the right music. You need godly words that will strengthen your faith. Listen to edifying sounds and teach your ears to listen attentively to the words, voice, and instructions of the Lord always.
Shalom
