ANGLES ON GUARD

Psalm 91:11 (Darby)
For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways:

We all talk of Angels and would most likely want to see one. According to the bible, an Angel is a messenger employed by God to execute his purposes.
What do angels look like? Why were they created? And what do they do? Humans have always had a fascination for Angels and a desire to encounter them more than they want to encounter God, that is wrong.
Angels are God’s spiritual undercover agents; they don’t draw attention to themselves unnecessarily. If we aren’t aware of them around us it’s because they’re doing a good job.
The principal word for “angel” in the Old Testament primarily means “messenger.” This term refers to both the human and the divine.
Ordinary people sent to convey a message of one sort or another like Jacob did in Genesis 32:3, can be classified as Angels.
Angels are mediators of divine revelation, like the birth of Christ in Matthew 1:20
An interpreting angel spoke with Zechariah throughout the first six chapters of that book, with the role of mediator and interpreter of the visions given to the prophet by God, also in Daniel 8 and 9, where the archangel Gabriel brings a revelation to Daniel.
Most angels in the Bible have the appearance and form of a man. Many of them have wings. Some are larger than life. Others have multiple faces. Some angels are bright, shining, and fiery, while others look like ordinary humans. Some angels are invisible, yet we feel their presence and hear their voices as described in Ezekiel 1:1-20.
The Bible indicates that angels were created at the same time the earth was formed before human life was created in Genesis 2:1 and Colossians 1:16.
The Lord send Angels to help us discern good and evil and give us insight and understanding when we need it as seen in 2 Samuel 14:17, and Daniel 9:22.
Since Angels are to do God’s bidding and purposes in human affairs, they have been and will forever be involved and interested in what goes on in the lives of human beings according to Daniel 10:14 and Luke 15:10.
Some worship Angels but in Revelation 19:10, they see themselves as employed by the same God, on the same errand, and with the same testimony as we are and therefore not entitled to our worship
We all have individual Angels assigned to us and the scriptures indicate that an incalculable number of angels exist because they are not omnipresent according to Hebrews 12:22.
We probably will never know how many times angels have delivered us, gotten us out of tight situations, protected us from harm, or even directly spoken to us. Matthew 18:10 indicates that we all have a special Angel, especially children.
Some angels are called seraphim, described in Isaiah 6:1-8, they are tall angels, with six wings, and can fly.
Angels were created to glorify and worship God according to Revelation 4:8 and Hebrews 1:6.
Angels work for God to protect us in Psalm 34:7, guide us in Acts 12:5-11, encourage and guard us in Exodus 23:20, and assist us in 2 kings 6:1-17. Angels are God’s messengers who carry out God’s will for His people. Angels are on guard waiting for your commands.
Shalom
