THE WISDOM OF GOD

James 1:5 (AMP)
If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault finding, and it will be given him.

Can a man be given the wisdom of God? Many verses reveal that God does indeed gift us with His wisdom. No man is as well known for wisdom as King Solomon. 1 Kings 4:29 says God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
So, what is wisdom? Wisdom refers to knowledge coupled with an inner quality that embodies a heart and life in conformity with the purposes and character of God. It also means skill, or ability, imparted by the Holy Spirit to everyone who desires and asks and the knowledge of God which leads us to live godly lives in conformity with the divine character. Wisdom signifies in general knowledge of the best and thorough practical knowledge of God, of oneself, and the Savior.
Wisdom in general seems to bring our minds to someone with much experience or expertise in an area or someone who makes good judgments. Wisdom is different from knowledge. Knowledge is defined as having information through experience, reasoning, or acquaintance. Whereas wisdom is the ability to discern or judge what is true.
There is the implication that general wisdom can be improved upon, but Godly wisdom is only attainable by special requests from the Lord who promises to give the requested wisdom as desired generously because God is the only teacher of this wisdom.
Get wisdom—Proverbs 4:5 is a command to not only get wisdom but to never forget the teachings of wisdom, or step aside from the path that wisdom prescribes. The wisdom of God is manifested in the intelligence imparted by God to every human, that is needed to know the truth of the word of God referred to as treasures that one needs to dig for, Proverbs 2:4.
Without wisdom, our lives can be turbulent. Our human wisdom can lead us into more trouble, life can seem very unfair but seeking the wisdom of God is the answer for everyone. If we can turn our hearts to Him and allow His Word to guide us, we will live a life fully embracing God’s love and wisdom.
True wisdom, the wisdom, which is a tree of life, Genesis 3:22, does not come from below, from man; it comes from above, from God. Too many Christians try to become wise by reading secular resources (nothing wrong in reading secular books, but we should not read these to become wise). And even more, Christians are reading books and works written by “Christian experts,” who merely mouth secular thinking baptized with religious terminology.
To know the will of God is the highest of all wisdom. God is all-wise, infinitely wise and
God’s wisdom is vastly superior to human wisdom.
Psalm 111:10’s question is one that James 1:5 answered; hence, the main element of wisdom is based on love and fear of God. Let him ask of God—Because God is the only teacher of this wisdom.
Those who have God’s wisdom will show it in how they live. Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from godly wisdom according to James 3:13.
Shalom.
