WAIT ON YOUR GOD CONTINUALLY

Hosea 12:6 AMP
Therefore, return [in repentance] to your God, Observe and highly regard kindness and justice, And wait [expectantly] for your God continually.

How are you at waiting? What are you waiting for? How long can you wait? They say that patience is a virtue. I know a lot of people that are not very virtuous then. I am one of them.
Waiting, it’s something that we’ve all had to do.
To wait on God continually is to do so without cessation; unceasingly; continuously. Waiting on God continually is an impossible feat we try to do so carnally but according to Isaiah 40:27-31, the strength of the Lord sustains us in our waiting for as long as we need to wait.
Some situations will test our patience and perseverance, we therefore must turn to God—because He is the same and cannot change.
There is a sense of dedication and determination to wait continually for the Lord, even when temptation looms to make us give on God. Acts 2:1.
Continuity is one of the essential elements of life. When we interrupt it for a single hour it becomes lost. Continually when unbroken and ceaseless, is an essentiality to a healthy Christian life. If waiting on God is the essence of true faith, it must be maintained by the spirit of God.
Impatience gets us in a lot of trouble, we dive headlong into “solutions” we think are needed, only to find ourselves back in square one. Patience is one of the areas where so many struggle. It was one of the areas where Habakkuk struggled as well. Habakkuk lived in Judah during the reign of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, the godly reformer. During his days, the Jews increased their sin and idolatry. Confronted by this wickedness, Habakkuk calls out to God for answers in Habakkuk 1:1-19. How often in our lives do we cry out for answers, impatiently looking for God to work? We pray, like the story goes, give me patience, and give it to me now. We must learn to hold fast to God’s word even when we think He is silent.
Waiting continually will be met and rewarded by God Himself working continually. God works continually, He ever does work continually, but the experience of it is hindered by our unbelief. God, who by His Spirit teaches us to wait continually, will bring us also to experience how, as the Everlasting One, His work is never ceasing. What do you do when you are waiting on God like that? We have all had times when we are waiting for God, waiting on God always has a goal and a firm sense of direction and purpose. Waiting is required for every goal in life is to be achieved. We mustn’t limit God with our impatience, in this, we may not experience or benefit from the set plans of God.
Wait thou only upon God, Psalm 62:5—There is none but God, in whom we can safely trust; and to get His help, we should turn our lives to Him, be subject to him, and be silent before him as we wait for the manifestation of His words.
Take time and wait continually until the vision of God working continually in you and for you, without a moment’s interruption fills your being. Wait continually on God.
Shalom
