CULTIVATING THE RIGHT CHRISTIAN ATTITUDE

1 John 4:19-21 (ESV)
19 We love because he first loved us.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Success in every sphere of society begins with cultivating the right attitude. The beginning of prosperity-lasting prosperity is to be able to treat people right.
God’s love was demonstrated in the cross, even whilst we were still sinners, according to Romans 5:8. God loves humanity first, and the love Christians show is a response to that love. When we keep loving others as the Lord instructs us to love in 1 Peter 4:8, it will be difficult to not cultivate the right attitude towards them.
The love of God in me is expressed in the way I express love for the people around me. Real, true and lasting prosperity comes from us learning what to do, doing right and appreciating those helping us do them.
As believers walking in love, we must learn to cultivate the attitude of gratitude to not only God but everyone we encounter, be grateful for opportunities and people around us who support, encourage and help us (for even just been in our lives), we must exhibit the attitude of courteousness, respect and humility.
We will come under provocations of evil from others, envy, jealousy, strife and even hatred, the negative sides of love but by the standard of the 1 Corinthians 13:4, the right attitude will not permit us to seek our right because they are not the character and actions of Love.
Lasting and true prosperity is the ability to show love to other people irrespective of who and what they are and to help them achieve their goal even if there is nothing in it for us.
We only get one chance to make the right impression on people. You may never get a second chance to make a first impression, but when we have a good attitude, we’re more likely to present ourselves to others in a positive light that creates a welcoming opportunity and open atmosphere to prosperity.
The Holy Spirit defends us against sin and produces in us the positive attitudes of godly character. Galatians 5:22 leads to good impressions that lead to many potential benefits in a spiritual and circular environment. Employers may be more likely to choose you as a new hire or for promotion, Co-workers, colleagues, and potential partners will be more inclined to work with you, fellow believers, neighbours are pleased to have you around and seek you out.
Cultivating the right attitude means you see the glass as half-full as opposed to half-empty which give you a positive outlook in life and stop you from getting beat down by life because the right attitude means you’ll be more motivated to put in the time and effort necessary to perform self-improvement that will help you and others achieve set goals.
James gives us the formula to help us keep our attitudes in check-in James 1:19-20. Although not all human anger is sinful, however, the quick-tempered, selfish anger of man shows a lack of trust in God and a lack of love for others.
God wants us to be quick and ready to hear Him and His truth, the truth that will help us cultivate the right attitude of love as disciples of Christ, we should always remember that we are engaged in learning from God the Father and Jesus Christ, and the right attitude is paramount in getting the love of God to be seen in us.
Shalom
