DO YOU KNOW GOD

Daniel 11:32 ERV
“The northern king will use lies and smooth talking to trick those who quit following the holy agreement, so they will sin even worse. But those who know God and obey him will be strong. They will fight back.

I want to ask you a particularly important and life-changing question. Do you know your God?
Many people do not see God in all His glorious sovereignty, because they do not know Him. Most call on God that they don’t have a relationship with or intimate knowledge of. Ezekiel 20:44 and Hosea 2:20. To know God is to completely believe and accept His word for the truth that is the bedrock of God’s person.
To know your God, you need to invest your time, your heart, your senses and your will in pursuit of the word, 2 Timothy 2:15.
God is the God of absolute truth. God as the sovereign Creator of all things, established truth and righteous are fully revealed in His creation and specifically in His Word. Psalm 19.
The person who knows their God is not timid, they are not fearful, they do not complain and moan when things are not going their way and they are secure not in themselves but the knowledge of their worth and value in the eyes of God. Isaiah 54:1-17, Psalm 46:5, Psalm 139:13-14.
Do you know your God?
For you to be strong and do the great exploits promised by God in the scriptures, you need to intimately engage with the Lord on every level to get to know the Lord’s heartbeat. Matthew 22:37.
so many people today believe that they know God, the saviour, the king of kings whom other kings call kings, but unfortunately, all a lot of people may know is about God. The facts about God, not the details and person of God. There is a difference. So, let’s address this question once again. Do you know God, or do you know about God?
Psalm 18:2-3 tells us briefly who God is. Have you seen God as your?
Rock, fortress, saviour, protector, shield, strength and stronghold?
Is the Lord worthy of your praise? He is because He made you, one valued and worth the blood of the lamb and His eternal love.
Would you not imprint the Lord and His word on your heart, expressed in your life as He has your name imprinted in His hands? Isaiah 49:16. God, in His mercy and love, has you imprinting on His hand, a show and tell, to the enemy that He has no intention of forgetting you or letting you go. How about you? What’s your show and tell, to the world that you love God, and have no plans of ignoring and forgetting Him?
Do you know God enough to call Him Father, Romans 8:15? Enough to call Him the righteous judge, Psalm 7:1? Or even enough to call a friend, 1 Samuel 12:22? Whatever you think about God, be sure you know the full extent of His love and sacrifice over you for you to get to know Him- John 3:16. You spend time with the ones you love and can talk about them all the time because you know them intimately, apply that principle to knowing the Lord, of Him, about Him and be empowered with revelational and experiential knowledge of who your Father, your God and your friend is. The power to do great exploit is in knowing your God as evidenced by Daniel and his friends. When you know God, you’ll be strong and do exploits. Do you know your God?
Shalom
