THE PRESENCE OF GOD

Genesis 28:16 (HCSB)
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!”

The presence of God is all we need, the place of anything and everything, the place of security and safety. The presence of God is the face of God according to psalm 89:15. We have the assurance of God’s presence according to Hebrews 13:5 that wherever we are, His presence is always.
Romans 8:35 ask if anything can separate us from God’s presence. Is anything able to separate you from God’s presence? Would anything get you to forsake God?
So many things are taking arms against us in the world right now, all trying to separate us from God’s presence and stop us from seeking His face; physical, and even spiritual things but the safest place to be is in God’s presence.
We must covert God’s presence above all else, we must praise, worship and study the word if we must be all we’re created for, as Psalm 119:20 says we must be consumed by His presence. To be consumed by God’s presence is to constantly and consistently crave His face according to Psalm 51:11. It is to fall on God’s mercy and grace that we will find Him if we seek Him.
The presence of God is the ultimate currency we have, it can be the currency to our health, for favour and peace- ask Moses in Exodus 34:28. The presence of God sustained him for 40dsys. When you spend time in God’s presence like Moses did, you begin to glow, God wants to transform us too and wants people to see that transformation on both our physical and emotional countenance.
The Lord is everywhere, there is nowhere in the universe that God will not be present to lead and hold the believer, and nowhere too dark for God to see us, according to Psalms 139:7, where can we go, hide and run from the presence of God? We cannot escape His presence nor His spirit.
God’s spirit is constantly with and in us, and according to 2 Corinthians 3:17, it is the presence of the Spirit of God that brings and gives us liberty, it is the presence of the Spirit of God that frees us from hard-heartedness, religiousness and bondage.
The presence of God is how we can withstand the enemy, as scripture says in 1 John 4:4, His presence in us is greater than the enemy without.
Whose presence do you crave and indulge in? when you love someone, you want to spend as much time as possible with them, just being around them makes you feel good, you want to hear their voices and have them smile at you always. That’s how much we should crave the presence of God according to Psalm 27:4, we should want to remain in God’s presence always, basking in the beauty of His holiness.
It is the craving of God’s presence that transforms us into the image of Christ by the spirit of God through His word and our prayer.
God promises to always be with us, even then Moses in Exodus 33:15 declares that if God’s presence doesn’t go with them, they will go nowhere. Are you willing to allow the presence of God to lead and guide you always? Bask in God’s presence.
Shalom
