Daniel 2:47 GW
The king said to Daniel, “Your God is truly the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings. He can reveal secrets because you were able to reveal this secret.”
Everybody has secrets, or what they consider secrets, but there are no secrets in the universe, nor should there be such. Sin alone has secrets, virtue has none. With God, all is as open as the day, looking at the Great One as the Revealer of secrets.
Ironically, it was king Nebuchadnezzar who alluded to God as the Revealer of secrets, as a polytheist, he was probably just highlighting and adding one more god to the already many gods of Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar, in his awe of having his unmentioned dream revealed by “the God Israel”, offered thanksgiving to the one who alone was able to reveal his dream.
Daniel had such confidence in the Lord to reveal secrets. He did not look at the impossibility of the situation, but instead, set himself to seek the Lord and prepared himself to hear Him in verse 23.
Are you confident in the Lord? That He’ll tell you what you need to know?
There’s nothing hidden from God, not only does He know all things, but He also sees all things says Hebrews 4:13.
But according to Proverbs 25:2, it should be the honour of the prince’s (believers), to search out God’s secrets and according to Deuteronomy 29:29, God reveals only on the need-to-know basis.
There is still much glorious truth revealed to us. The knowledge of God we know is because God has chosen to reveal Himself to us. God had drawn aside the veil which obscures His glory to let us know something of the deepest intentions of His heart and the innermost purposes of His mind.
There is a secret, God’s secret, but it is something He desires to reveal to those who would search or want to know. The way He chooses to reveal this secret is through His word and prophets according to Amos 3:7.
It is not revealed through evil works as fortune-telling, psychics, soothsaying, and those with familiar spirits seen in Isaiah 8:19.
People, especially Christians, should seek God rather than the enemy who seek to deceive, they don’t know anything, they can’t tell you whatever God has not revealed. Search out the scriptures, because God’s truth is hidden between the passages of the bible.
It is the work of the fallen angel, formerly called Lucifer, to confuse the mind of man through lies and deception.
The veil is lifted in Matthew 27:51, allowing Christians to see the unseen.
God will reveal a truth that is genuinely sort after. He will reveal to His own, what cannot be seen by others, says Matthew 13:11.
Nothing is hidden from God, including things in your heart but you can only assess God’s will and purpose by seeking His hidden strategies, see Colossians 1:26.
You would not trust your secrets to a talebearer and an untrustworthy person according to Proverbs 11:13, would you?
Can God trust you with kingdom secrets? Would He whisper into your ears what others can’t hear, see or understand?
Kingdom secrets are waiting to be revealed, unveiled and understood, the Revealer of secrets will only open doors for only the bold and confidently to receive the secrets to change lives and destinies. can God trust you with His secrets?
Shalom
