Deuteronomy 28:1-14
Our ministry’s theme this year is “rejoice always”. To rejoice is to experience a high degree of pleasure regardless of the circumstances.
That’s what creates joy in us. Joyful means to be full of joy, to be glad of life no matter what.
The increase means to grow, to become greater in bulk, quantity and quality, to become more in number and value, to rise higher, enlarge and to spread.
The main requirement for the joyful increase is obedience to the Lord- total obedience, not half-measure, no compromise, and no manipulations.
The first 14 verses list what is called the 21 blessings of obedience, 21 blessings in only 14 verses of scripture. Imagine that!
Even amid severe oppression, affliction and hard labour, there was a joyful increase on every side of the Israelites according to Exodus 1:7.
Does this sound familiar? Man has become political and cooperates slaves-work, work until you drop and nothing to show for your labour, but God wants us to obey his voice, follow his instructions and directions and we will eat the fruit of the land, that means you will enjoy joyful increase.
Everyone is looking for a good investment and no one wants to invest in God, the only investment that yields a 100% return, gives a residual income and has an eternal reward. The prosperity message without work-practical action based on God’s principles is futile.
(If you don’t have seed in the ground, you don’t get a harvest as seen in Genesis 26:11-14), obedience is the key, Isaac could have done anything but obey God, he did and reaped a good harvest. Will you dare to leap in faith and obey God in whatever he’s leading you to this season?
Trust God, trust His name-Jesus- the name bigger, mightier, stronger and more powerful than every principality and power, Psalm 20 assures us of how big God is.
So many don’t believe or trust God to take care of their needs, and so they work and save for rainy days when God can’t do much for us until we come to ourselves like the prodigal son in Luke 15:17, when we come to ourselves, we begin to enjoy God’s joyful increase.
We can’t get anything different if we remain in the old place and old source without the Lord-what’ the use of the Holy Spirit if we don’t have advantages-let him show you where the hidden treasures you need are according to Daniel 2:22
Our labour should not be in our abilities, knowledge, over-time, timesheets and savings but in the word of God, believe God, trust Him to care for you instead of worrying according to Philippians 4:6.
Don’t bear the weight of your earnings, allow God to multiply you, let the Spirit of God give you the advantage of becoming joyfully increased.
It matters not what man, circumstances and situations use to confuse, threaten or constrain you, be determined that you’ll not allow it to affect you.
Use praise to gather your harvest
Use praise and laughter as a weapon to remain joyful, rejoicing in the face of adversity.
We have in-built divine insurance with God that covers every emergency that may shake us, cause doubt, and maybe give up but remember it’s only if we keep laughing that Isaac will manifest and we will experience the Lord’s joyful increase.
