NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER AGAIN

Job 17:11 (AMP)
My days are past, my purposes and plans are frustrated; even the thoughts (desires and possessions) of my heart [are broken off].

One of life’s certainties is that everyone would experience failure in life at something at some point. Life is never an unbroken series of victories. Setbacks, losses, and sometimes defeat will happen and may overwhelm us.
Defeat may be thrust upon us by circumstance and by others or we defeat ourselves by our thoughts and actions. When such happens, some of us just give up, some others will keep at it until they succeed, and others will start over again.
Luke 7:11-15 is the account of the widow of Nain on her way to bury her only son, she was crying, obviously distraught over losing a second member of her immediate family but on the way, Jesus saw and had compassion on the mother.
The woman must have thought, is he kidding? Does He know what I’ve been through? But then, Jesus touched the open coffin and raised the dead son. Imagine what the widow thought when she saw her son raised from the dead. Probably the same thing that went through Mary and Martha’s heads when they witnessed their brother, Lazarus, emerge from his tomb in John 11:38-44.
Obviously, with God, it’s never too late. It wasn’t too late for the thief on the cross in Luke 23:43 either, was it?
It’s never too late to start with God!
Never doubt that God sees your pain! The love that is in Him compels him to act. It may not come in the timetable that you want or expect, but He sees your pain and will move.
Proverbs 20:30 says sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways. That’s true, right? So, stop your regret.
Regret doesn’t change anything; it only keeps you looking in the past. Regret is like looking in the rear-view mirror while driving down a twisting road. It’s a sure way to crack up – if you are always focussing on the past, you don’t see the opportunities ahead of you to help you start over again.
Everything starts from a dream to concept to execution. Don’t give up on those dreams or concepts yet. Whatever that dream or idea is, you can start over again.

  • Is it about ministering?
  • Owing your business?
  • Being debt-free?
  • Having a family?
  • Redemption of time and relationships
You feel you’re too old, too late and too everything to succeed, so, you choose to give up rather than start over but Provers 4:7 says you’ll get understanding that would help in starting over again because God hasn’t given up on you
Abraham started over several times in different places until he settled in Canaan in Genesis 11-12.
Moses started again in Midian in Exodus 2:11-15.
When God puts a dream in your heart, He will show you the steps to take to make that dream a reality.
How about Job? He had to start everything over again, but grace allowed him to start over again.
If you ask God to give you a new dream, a new vision, a new direction, for strength, for wisdom, and grace to start over again, He will- it’s never too late to start over again, don’t allow stop you from starting over again.
    Shalom
