FRAGRANCE OF GRACE

Numbers 6:25 (ESV)
the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;

Grace occurs seventy times in the scriptures with the predominant meanings of favour, and an indication of the free and unconditional granting of his God’s blessings on a person that may not necessarily be deserved.
The fragrance is characterized by God’s kindness and warm courtesy to his children, bestowing favours on us even when we don’t qualify naturally for them.
Acts 10:34 tells us God respects no person, what He does for one, He’ll do the same for others.
God’s fragrance of grace is what shines through and smells on us to show the world that the God of grace is at work in one’s life.
There’s a grace bestowed on us all according to 1 Peter 4:10 to release the glory of God. The grace that repairs broken walls, grace that redeems the lost, and the grace that releases us from bondage.
The fragrance of grace makes us look good without any personal impute or effort.
The same grace God gave the Israelites of old; He has given to every believer. His grace preserves us. The grace causes His face to shine on us and be gracious to us. Grace lifts His face on us and allows us to prosper.
Sin put a curse on humanity, but grace redeemed and beautified us.
Our countenance is the way we look, so, when people look at us, what will they see? Something different from what they see on everyone, or they see grace.
Moses’s countenance shone with grace in Exodus 34:30, for when in God’s presence, the fragrance of grace was poured on him. When the fragrance of grace is poured on you, your face never reveals what you experienced in your closet when you step out.
The fragrance of grace poured on Stephen in Acts 6:15 sustained him while being stoned to death, that he could still pray for forgives for his killers: the fragrance of grace released the glory of God on Stephen.
God graces us for whatever we are facing, the fragrance of grace will cover whatever the enemy intends to be on you, the fragrance of grace poured out on the three Hebrew boys in Daniel 3, that even when you come out of the fire, you would not smell of smoke like them. They smelt of grace instead of smoke.
I can personally vouch and confirm indeed that when we allow the fragrance of grace to pour over us, it shows on us; I remember one of my sisters commenting on my “countenance,” “you’re glowing she said, at a time I should have looked like death warmed up. God poured the fragrance of grace on me, covering the despair that wouldn’t give Him glory.
To receive the outpouring of the fragrance of grace, we must approach God’s throne boldly according to Hebrew 4:6, believing that what He’s done for others, He’s willing and ready to do for you.
As Isaiah 30:18 say, He’s waiting and expecting with longing to be gracious to you, that is to pour on you the fragrance of grace that will glorify Him.
If you’re wondering if God will do those things you’ve asked of Him because you think they are too big or just unimaginable and impossible, He had done it before, He is waiting to pour out the fragrance of grace to make you look and smell graceful.
Shalom
