Know your God

Daniel 11:32. The woman who knows her God shall stand firm ( be strong) and take action.

Many of us do not see God in all of His glorious wholeness, because we do not know Him. To know him is to completely believe and accept His word for the truth that it is.
To know your God, you need to invest your time, your heart, your senses and your will. For you to be strong and do those promised great exploits you need to intimately engage with the Lord on every level to get to know his heartbeat.

For you to know your God , you need to get deep into the scripture to see what He says of Himself and align your Spirit with His revelation.

Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given,
Psalms 105:4‭-‬5 NLT

The woman who knows her God is not timid, she is not fearful, she does not complain or moan when things don’t go her way and she is secure not in herself but in the knowledge of her worth and value in the eyes of her God.

Do you know your God?

Psalms 18:2-3
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Is the Lord your rock?
Your fortress?
Your salvation?
Your protection?
Your shield?
Your strength?
Your stronghold?
Is theLord worthy of your praise?

Is the Lord all of the above and more to you?

When you know your God, He gives you
Peace: Job 22:21
Confidence and assurances : Hebrews 4:16
Worth and value: Psalm 139:13-16
Straight and divine direction: Proverbs 3:5
Makes sense even when it doesn’t: 1 Corinthians 1:27

Every human wants to be strong and do great exploit but come the school of hard knock, we start charffting at the unfairness of life. Remember psalm 23: 4? Well  if you don’t know your God,  how do you plan to keep fear away?

Moses knew his God and was strong and did great exploits.

David knew his God…..

Mrs Nnaman’s maid (a little teenage girl) knew  her God…..

Joseph knew his God…..

Joshua knew his God….

Esther knew her God…

Daniel and his friends knew their God….

Apostle Paul knew his God……

These people got to know their God because they didn’t shy away from “the valley of the shadow of death”, they remembered the Lord’s portfolios of wonders and miracles in their lives and were able to stand firm in trust of His word and name.
God can and will only pour out Himself into you as much as you are capable of receiving,  when you invest in seeking and finding Him, as you get to know him your capacity to receive more of him increases. 2 kings 4:3-6. You  too can  be “filled to the brim” with God when you search for Him (Isaiah 55:6).

Some people claim to be disappointed with God because they think He failed to meet their needs, unfortunately   these are people who made no active effort to seek God and get to know Him but they passively expected Him to reach out to them with no efforts on their side.

Jesus’s Matthew 7:7 of Ask, seek and knock is very vital to getting to know your God and for an adventurous, active and successful Christian life.

Don’t wait passively for life to happen before getting to know your God,  actively seek Him out, get to know Him and deepen your intimacy with Him. He’s waiting to hear from you. Start knocking on His door today.

Shalom
